Self-paced TEAS test prep for nursing and allied health applicants, guided by a dedicated Academic Mentor.
TEAS test prep at Mountain Point Academy gets you ready for the ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills), the entrance exam most nursing and allied health programs require. It runs inside our online test prep program, and like every course there, it opens with a placement exam so your study time goes where it is actually needed.
The current exam is ATI TEAS Version 7. Prep materials built around TEAS 6 are out of date, so check the version any study guide targets before you spend time in it.
Score cutoffs are set by the programs you apply to, not by ATI, and they differ between schools and between degree levels. Have your target programs in mind before you set a goal score, because that number is what your plan gets built around.
The ATI TEAS is published by Assessment Technologies Institute and tests four content areas.
Comprehension, interpreting text and graphics, integrating information
Numbers and algebra, measurement and data
Human anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, scientific reasoning
Conventions of standard English, vocabulary, language in context
Question counts and time limits vary by exam version and delivery format. Confirm the current structure on ATI’s official TEAS page before you build a schedule around it.
Your course opens with a placement exam. It shows where you already meet the standard and where you need work, and it lets you test out of topics you know, so you are not reviewing material you have already mastered.
Science is the section most candidates underestimate. It carries the heaviest anatomy and physiology load of the four areas, and it rewards recall of systems and terminology more than test-taking technique does.
Your placement results show which parts of the science section are actually costing you points, and coursework is matched to that rather than to a general review sequence. If anatomy and physiology is where you are losing ground, that is where the time goes.
We do not administer the TEAS. Exam registration, scheduling, and testing accommodations go through ATI and your testing center. Your mentor helps you plan study time around the date you book.
We are a school, not a clinical program. We provide academic coursework and mentorship. We do not provide therapy, counseling, or treatment.
Start by finding out what your programs require, then take a diagnostic to see where you actually stand. Study your weakest content area first, practice under timed conditions, and keep sessions short and regular rather than long and occasional. Book the exam once your practice scores hold steady.
Prep options range from free question banks to private tutoring, and they are not interchangeable. Six things separate a course that moves your score from one that just fills your evenings.
What to check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
Built for the current version | ATI TEAS Version 7 is the live exam. Materials built for TEAS 6 waste your time. |
Starts with a diagnostic | Without one, you study evenly across four areas instead of where you are losing points. |
Real depth in science | Anatomy and physiology is where most candidates lose ground, and it is where thin courses are thinnest. |
Timed practice, not just questions | Pacing is a separate skill. Untimed drilling does not build it. |
Someone tracking your progress | Self-study fails on follow-through far more often than on material. |
Clear cost before you commit | You should know what you are paying for, and what happens if your timeline changes. |
Mountain Point Academy meets all six, and you can check them against any option you are weighing. If a course cannot tell you which TEAS version it targets, that is usually the whole answer.
Flexible monthly plans, no hidden fees. What you need varies, so we go through cost with you on the consultation. The tuition and enrollment page covers how enrollment works.
Walk through your timeline, the programs you are applying to, and what TEAS prep would cost in your case. Consultations are free, and there is no obligation to enroll.
Mountain Point Academy is a fully online, Cognia-accredited school headquartered in Utah, serving students across the state and beyond. There is no campus to commute to and no fixed class time to miss.
Most TEAS courses hand everyone the same sequence. Starting from your placement results means you skip what you have already mastered.
Self-paced coursework with 24/7 access, paired with weekly mentor check-ins, avoids the two ways TEAS prep usually fails: a rigid class you cannot attend, and a self-study plan nobody holds you to. More on how our model works.
Mountain Point Academy is fully accredited by Cognia. Cognia accreditation covers the school and its diploma programs. It speaks to who you are studying with, and it is separate from the TEAS itself, which ATI administers. You can also read more about our school and team.
The current exam, ATI TEAS Version 7. Coursework covers all four content areas: reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage.
There is no single passing score. Each nursing or allied health program sets its own cutoff, and those differ by school and by degree level. Bring your target programs to the consultation so your goal score is set against the ones you are actually applying to.
It depends on your placement results and how many hours a week you can protect. Short, regular sessions beat occasional long ones. Your plan is set after the placement exam rather than picked in advance, and your mentor adjusts it as your progress reports come in.
No. Testing organizations do not permit guaranteed scores, and results depend on where you start, how much time you put in, and conditions on test day. What the course provides is a placement-based plan, coursework matched to your gaps, and a mentor who tracks progress with you.

Yes. Coursework is self-paced with 24/7 access and enrollment is open year-round, so there is no fixed class time to miss. Bring your weekly availability to the consultation so pacing is set realistically from the start.
Nursing and allied health programs require a high school diploma or equivalent. If you are still working toward yours, our online high school diploma program leads there. Raise it during your consultation so the order makes sense for your timeline.
