Discover what makes Mountain Point Academy the right choice for students who need more than traditional education can offer.
Mountain Point Academy’s mission is to commit to providing a student-centered academic experience by creating an environment grounded in respect, integrity, and commitment to learning. Students and staff work together as each student strives to reach their academic potential.
MPA operates under the belief that all students can learn, but the way that happens looks a little bit different for each student. William Spady says it perfectly when he states that, “All students can learn and succeed, but not on the same day in the same way.”
MPA works with all types of students, whether you love school and can’t wait to graduate high school early to get to college, or if you have struggled in the past and are looking for an alternative to your brick-and-mortar school, we have you covered.
Every student who enters our doors (figuratively, of course!) is assigned an Academic Mentor. This MPA staff member acts as your advocate throughout your time at Mountain Point. You’ll never have to worry about who to turn to when you have a question on your homework, your graduation status, career planning, or anything else.
Your mentor will reach out regularly to check in, set goals, and see how you’re doing. This human-to-human contact is what sets us apart from many other online schools.
Mountain Point Academy’s purpose is to provide alternative education solutions for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend school or take courses in a traditional setting. This includes adult education, homeschool students, students in need of credit recovery, and students in residential treatment centers or juvenile halls.
We specialize in working with students that tend to fall through the cracks in a traditional brick-and-mortar school, either because they are very advanced and become bored, or because they need additional support and a slower pace.
Every decision we make prioritizes student success and well-being.
Work through material at your own speed—accelerate when you’re ready, take time when you need it.
Regular mentor check-ins, certified teacher access, and real relationships.
Flexible monthly tuition. Learn on your schedule. No hidden fees.
Cognia-accredited diploma recognized nationwide.
Mountain Point Academy was a fantastic program that allowed me to rapidly complete my needed courses and fully understand the information given to me in my classes. With the very flexible curriculum and the program allowing students to complete the courses in their own time, MPA was one of the best online programs I have attended.

What has impressed me most about working with Mountain Point Academy is how flexible and adaptable you are in meeting our needs. It’s no small task to work with students on a short-term basis and manage to place them in some meaningful classes that help them to not lag behind their peers. Thanks for being so easy to work with (and patient)

With a lack of quality yet affordable options out there, the school founders knew there was a big need for a school that serves this special population of students. Mountain Point Academy was formed in the kitchen of a Lehi, Utah home in 2017, with the hope of cultivating a culture of respect, self-worth, and accomplishment to both students and faculty.
Our Board of Directors and Leadership Team has over 100 years of experience working with students in a variety of settings, such as traditional brick-and-mortar schools, residential treatment centers, homeschools, and online education.
We are very passionate about providing a positive experience for students to realize their full potential, both personally and academically, so that students not only excel throughout their time here at MPA, but after graduation and beyond.
Mountain Point Academy is accredited by Cognia, the parent organization for the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
Accreditation really matters. It ensures your credits transfer, your diploma is recognized, and you’re getting a quality education that meets national standards.
